1983   Volvo   242   'Flathood'

Picture

VIN:   YV1AX4727D2237040
Mileage   shown:   44,170   TMU
Price:   TBD

Here it is:  the best in existence most collectible 240 with only 500 produced.  The original paint is just about perfect.  The luxurious wear forever, plush cloth seats are the option to the typically wasted leather.  The optional automatic transmission makes this car perform better than it would with a standard (unless you have mastered the art of speed shifting which the M46 trans does not do well at).  A very important fact: I purchased this car in 1992 from the second owner when it was only 11 years old.  The odometer and bill of sale at the time indicated 18,150 miles. The speedometer has since failed and has been replaced with a unit showing 44,170 miles.  Yet the car has only been driven less than 1,000 miles since purchased.  This car has been indoor stored for the duration of my ownership.  Routine maintenance has been performed on the car as well as new front brakes and new rear shocks.  A complete checkup and any work found necessary will be performed before the car is sold.
