Resto-Mod's
Simply put: A Resto-Mod is a vehicle that has been mostly restored to its original state, with some minor upgrades or modifications. Examples of some classic Resto-Mod’s include upgraded engines, suspensions, electrical work, radio/dashboard upgrades, AC (if the car didn’t originally come with one). And so on.
Here at Alan Auto, we started out at doing mostly just service work. In time, we were consulted and able to do some minor restorations. In the last dozen or so years, we really started to hone in on full “nut and bolt” restorations. Making these beautiful 60’s-70’s Volvos look like they just rolled off the show room floor.

Our first Resto-Mod done in house was Alan’s own 1967 Volvo 210. We took the original B18 engine and swapped it with a B230F (1992 240), single stromberg carburetor and AW70 automatic transmission. Took a few tries to get the suspension just right, but Alan had that thing up to 70mph just this last weekend, and drove it just like his reliable 240 wagon.
